Maria Brink

 Maria Brink, born December 18th, 1977, is an American musician and singer. She is most well-known for her work as the frontwoman for In This Moment. The band has released seven studio albums and was nominated for four awards, including two of which came from Alternative Press Music Awards and one nomination from the Grammy Awards. Brink is also well-known as the "Rock Goddess of the Year", "Hottest Female in Metal" in 2010, and one of 11 women that matter in heavy metal as reported by Yell! Magazine in 2012, and was named by Revolver Magazine as one of the "25 Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock & Metal".The first band Brink was ever a part of was an Albany, New York-based band known as Pulse before she moved to California. At the age of 25, she joined Revolver old She moved to Los Angeles to search for an opportunity to join a band. She worked in shops, sang in bars and also was a singer in coffee shops. At an audition, she came across Chris Howorth in 2004. Howorth was initially hesitant to employ Brink as a singer due to the fact that she was female. Howorth apologized after two weeks and hired Brink to be his singer. They were formed Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as drummer. Later, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined the group as guitarists. The band changed their name to In This Moment
