
Kelly Clarkson, in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson, (born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.), American performer, songwriter as well as a TV personality, who was able to establish herself as a pop rock star following winning the popular television talent contest American Idol in 2002. Clarkson grew up at Burleson, Texas, a suburb within Fort Worth, where her vocal talent was first noticed by her choir instructor when she was a seventh grader. When she graduated from high school Clarkson relocated in Los Angeles, where she unsuccessfully tried to break into the show business. She was picked to participate on the Fox Broadcasting Corporation's American Idol singing competition, that allowed the viewers to choose their favorite artist. The viewers were in love with Clarkson's arresting voice, charisma, and sense of humour. She won $1 million, and she also signed a recording agreement with RCA.
